EASTER in the King James Version Acts 12:4 and the KJV Is the King James Bible translation of pascha as Easter in Acts 12:4 a mistake? If not, why was it done? Acts 12:3-4 In the 1769 KJV - And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) 4. And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after EASTER to bring him forth to the people. PASCHA (passover) is not related to pagans EASTER. Translators did it deliberately or by mistake is no point we gonna deal. EASTER inserted in this verse is extremely WRONG. First Century Christian had no relation with EASTER, BUNNY EGGS etc. PURE or IMPURE —which would be more secure in the eyes of God? Fortunately, our Mizo Bible have it as KALHLEN, exactly according to the original rendering as in Greek. In stricter conclusion, EASTER is a term which is not Gods inspired word. Man does not live off bread alone, but EVERY WORD that comes out the mouth of God …. – Deuteronomy 8:3 —echoed in the Gospel Matthew & Luke 4:4 I Tim 3:15 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. EASTER - unfortunately, is not given by inspiration of God. Never in the clock-time or as a day of celebration set apart for God.
