EASTERN FRONT T.V. DOCUMENTARIES: A while back I participated in an FB post by somebody asking about the best TV documentaries re the Eastern Front in WW2. Not sure who was in it, but Im guessing David Beck and Greg Hunter wouldve taken part. Anyhow, just came across the best doc series on the subject that Ive yet seen, called Soviet Storm - WW2 in the East. It was produced for Russian TV in 2011 - eighteen 45 minute episodes, later dubbed into English. Pretty good production values, goes into a lot more detail than the normal History Channel fare on the subject, and, refreshingly, is told from the Russian perspective. Best of all, somebody posted the entire series on YouTube - watched the first 4 episodes, and so far am impressed.
