EBOLA IN PORT HARCOURT: GOVERNOR SHOULD LEARN FROM HIS FRIEND, - TopicsExpress

EBOLA IN PORT HARCOURT: GOVERNOR SHOULD LEARN FROM HIS FRIEND, FASHIOLA. PLEASE, COOPERATE WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. Dear Governor Amaechi, Greetings to you with much respect and uncommon adulations and commitment from me to you, sir may your reign be better than it is now. Please sir, I am fretting the more upon hearing that the deadly “Ebola Virus” has found its way into Rivers State. I am more pained that the transporter who made this shipment into Port Harcourt is a “diplomat” and the distributor is a medical doctor. This is not good for us especially, at a time when the Federal Government is accused of “always” hating on Rivers people; it is scarier because this may end up in the usual very ugly Rivers Vs Presidency brawl that does no good to the people. Please sir, am aware that this ugly and deadly virus (Ebola) was officially “way-billed” into Nigeria by a Liberian-born American terrorist codenamed “DR.SAWYER”. This terrorist originally made his way into Nigeria through Lagos, thereby, spreading the virus to as many persons as possible. Ever since, the Lagos State Government though an opposition to the Federal Government, have shown the best form of medical practice in curtailing this heartrending and killer virus. In fact, the Lagos State and Federal Government jointly fought this virus and were able to curb its spread. Sir, dem say “na cooperation dey make rice to full pot” (in pidgin), please now that the virus has made its way into our City (Port Harcourt), I am begging on bended knees that you should try to cooperate with the Federal Government for the sake of your people (Rivers People). I am begging that you drop your usual drama and cooperate with the GEJ’s Federal Government on this. Ebola is not a politician; Ebola is not interested in becoming the next Governor or President. Truth is, Ebola is the worst opposition to humanity, let us jointly fight it. Sir, you will agree with me that since the Ebola incident occurred in Lagos State, we have not heard complains from Governor Fashiola that the Lagos State Police Commissioner did this or that. We did not also hear from Fashiola that the health Minister or his team did this or did that. We did not hear anything like the Federal Government imposing this or that, Fashiola cooperated with the Federal Government via Federal Ministry of Health. In fact, your friend, Governor Fashiola is vast and prompt enough to have appointed an SA on Public Health, which you do not have. Your Health Commissioner is everything in his Ministry (one-man Ministry of Health). Please sir, let the spirit of Fashiola posses you during this Ebola era so that you can jointly fight it like Fashiola did with the help of the Federal Government. Please sir, do not play your usual politics of “media parleys” with this Ebola issue, Ebola do not respect class and status. Ebola do not respect who rush to the media first, please fight this by fully cooperating with the Federal Government. At least, for once, cooperate with the Federal Government and fight this. Please, I am begging. Do all you can to stay the cause and do not let them witch hunt you. Nyesom Wike is not a medical doctor, ignore him on this even if he comes whetting you for war, rather, all hands should be on deck. Let your information team beef up educational programmes on Ebola awareness instead. Also, use the Lagos media this time for Ebola awareness. Please help us, help your people. Do not play politics with this. Similarly, I am equally begging the Federal Government not redeploy Mbu back to Rivers State during this Ebola scare era in Port Harcourt. I am pleading that the Federal Government should be professional and avoid sending ALhaji.DR.Chf. Nyesom Wike to Port Harcourt. Let him remain in Abuja during this period to avoid any confrontation with his twin brother, Governor Amaechi. Please, we need the safety of our people. Do us well to shun playing unnecessary politics with this, because, Ebola is no respecter of PDP or APC. Ebola does not respect Presidents, Ministers or Governors. Don’t joke with it. Thank you and Remain Blessed. Maobuye Nangi Obu The Wondering Wanderer
