EDOCSO ELECTORAL GUILDLINES 2014 1. Candidates must be a registered member of affiliate organization. 2. All Suspended member(s) by the General Assembly remains suspended and are not eligible to vote or be voted for. 3. Only registered members of EDOCSO and affiliate organization can serve as an agent. 4. Full time students are not eligible to contest. 5. Candidates shall be disqualified from the race if it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that he/she is a member of any outlawed nocturnal organization or cult. 6. Candidates with antecedent of adverse medical history, epilepsy, lunacy and psychiatric problem shall be ipso facto be disqualified. 7. Sales and submission of Nomination Forms start on Friday 5th September and ends Thursday18th September, 2014 by 12noon. 8. Screening of candidates holds on Friday19th of September, 2014 by 10am prompt. 9. Campaign starts after clearance and ends Thursday25th September, 2014 by 11:59pm. 10. Candidates are to send the names of their agents between Saturday 20th and Monday 22nd September, 2014. 11. Candidates are to attach their CV and affidavit of non-membership of secret Cult to their Nomination Forms. 12. Manifesto shall hold on Thursday 25th September 2014 by 12noon. 13. Election shall hold on Friday 26th September 2014 by 12noon at the EDOCSO Secretariat while accreditation starts by 9am prompt. 14. Candidates not cleared can send their appeal letter between Saturday 20th and Tuesday 23rd September 2014 before 2pm. 15. All appeal letter should be addressed to the Chairman and delivered through the Secretary before the stipulated date and time. 16. Elections shall be by open secret ballot. 17. Only consistent financial registered affiliate organizations shall be allowed to vote and shall have two (2) man delegate each 18. Any candidate for election shall have no criminal records and shall be of good conduct. 19. A voter shall cast only one (1) vote for a candidate of his/her choice for a particular position. 20. Swearing in/Handover of elected officials shall hold on Wednesday1st October, 2014 by 10am prompt. 21. The following are the positions/fee: A. Coordinator General-------------------------------------------N20,000 B. Deputy Coordinator General---------------------------------N10,00 C. Secretary General----------------------------------------------N10,00 D. Assistant Secretary General---------------------------------------N5,000 E. Director of Finance-------------------------------------------------N5,000 F. Treasurer--------------------------------------------------------N5,000 G. Director of Medial and Publicity---------------------------------N5,000 H. Director of Strategy and Mobilization--------------------------N5,000 I. Director of Women Affairs and Social Development---------N5,000 22. All election petitions shall be filed not later than Forty-eight (48) hours of the publication of the election result. 23. All petitions on electoral malpractices shall be directed to the organization Legal Advisers who shall determine all such cases, their merits and demerits and make public their verdicts within seven (7) days of receipt of such. 24. All slated electoral activities shall take place at the Masses/Liberty House, 28A, Erie Street, Off Sakponba Road, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
