EGGON, ALAGO CLASH: The renewed clashes in Nasarawa State have resulted in the deaths and displaced of many persons. The fresh clash by Eggon (Ombatse) youths and Alago tribes in Obi town, Obi LGA of the state has led to the loss of many lives and destruction of properties. According to report, many houses has been set ablaze while many residents including women and children have fled their homes to take refuge in nearby villages. Many of them were seen trekking over 30 kilometres to Lafia the state capital. Meanwhile, tension is very high in Obi, Tudun Adabu, Daddere and other villages around the area. Soldiers in 11 vehicles have been deployed in Obi to maintain law and order. In another report, the Police have debounks claims that 50 NYSC members died in Nasarawa as false. All the NYSC members are safe and healthy in Lafia.
