The Zubin Mehta concert will see several corporate tycoons of India arriving in their private jets to enjoy the 90-minute Bavarian State Orchestra in Shalimar Garden. Authorities have given permission forlanding private planes at the airport in connection with the concert. “They are all top businessman and industrialists of India,” Ambassadors of European countries in New Delhi, film stars, bureaucrats and bigwigs from corporate India are among 1,500 invitees to the show. Prefabricated 70-feet by 50-feet podium has been created in garden where Zubin would play the symphonies of Beethoven, Haydn andTchaikovsky. The concert will be telecast live in about 100 countries. Authorities have beefed up security around the venue to ensure the show passes smoothly, because they know it is not for kashmiries. All roads leading to the venue have been sealed and vehicular traffic would not be allowed on the roads leading to it from 1 pm on September 7. Scores of CCTV cameras have been installed in and around the concert venue.
