EKITI APC CONDEMNS VIOLENT ACT BY MOB GROUP The violent act, which erupted in Emure Ekiti, Emure Local Government of the State last Sunday has yet tampered with the peaceful reign in Ekiti State and the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned it as needless, reckless and an avoidable brigandage. In a statement signed by its Director of Publicity and Media, Segun Dipe, the APC viewed the act as one of the bloodletting exercises, which the Michael Opeyemi Bamidele-led Bibiire Group has embarked on. The party said it finds it disheartening that those who claimed to be trusted leaders are now unleashing their mayhem on the innocent citizens they intend to lead. Some miscreants hiding under the name of Bibiire Group have turned themselves into bullies while jostling for relevance. In the particular occurrence at Emure Ekiti, two MOB factions were allegedly locked in supremacy contest. One was led by one Supo Fakunle, a.k.a Olugeri and the other led by Paul Awopetu, a.k.a Doki. They were allegedly fighting for the loot coming from MOB and his sponsors to whichever group emerged as superior. You may recall that The Dr John Kayode Fayemi led administration in Ekiti state has redefined governance by taking it to another level, this they do not have answers to, we have advised them to come up with a better or alternative developmental agenda for the people of Ekiti, but unfortunately, they do not have an answer. They have decided to resort to violence and brigandage, we shall not allow Ekiti to be thrown back into the black days pre-October 2010. If this is what is meant by Bibiire and what MOB intends to throw the peaceful state into, then there is cause to worry and we will not allow them to return the state to the crisis era. God and the people of the state will forbid it. APC is a law-abiding party. Our Governor, John Kayode fayemi has consistently warned that no blood of an Ekiti man is worth shedding for his or anyone’s political ambition. It is on this we stand and this we shall continue to uphold as the ruling party in the state. We are also inviting all true sons and daughters to join us in the no-bloodshed, no-mayhem campaign as we move into another period of election. Signed Segun Dipe Director of Publicity and Media, APC, Ekiti State.
