‘EL BEIT’ POETRY SHOW’S 3RD EPISODE ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST FEMALE WINNER IN THE NABD AL SOURA COMPETITION Show welcomes the 2nd episode winner, Rajeh Al Otaibi from KSA and Badr Ali Al Yahya from KSA, winner of the Nabd Al Soura competition Poetry show lightens up the vibrant field of Nabati poetry Kuwaiti media delegates enjoy a tour of the studio to experience the latest innovations and meet the program team Episode 3 of the second season of El Beit poetry show was aired at 9pm on Monday, November 24th. This is in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to revive authentic heritage - particularly Nabati poetry. The show is organized and produced by Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Centre. Filming took place at the show’s studio in Dubai Studio City. Mr Majid Abdul Rahman Al Bastaki, the show’s General Coordinator, welcomed the visiting media delegates from Kuwait, pointing out that their visit reflects the magnitude of the show’s success. This phenomenal success is being extended by nurturing talented poets and social media interactivity in the UAE and the entire Arab world. The show’s host, Barakat Al Wagayan welcomed Rajeh Al Otaibi from Saudi Arabia, the writer of the winning chater (first half of a poetic verse) that was chosen by both the judging panel and the guest of honour during Episode 2. He was awarded a special trophy and presented with a cheque for AED 200,000. Also appearing on the show was Badr Ali Al Yahya - also from Saudi Arabia - who won the Nabd Al Soura competition. He was presented with a trophy and AED 100,000 cheque. Commenting on this special occasion, Rajeh Al Otaibi explained: “The concept of the program is highly unique, because it does justice to creative poets. The most beautiful aspect of the program is the credibility of the members of the jury, who have won numerous awards - including the guest of honour on that particular episode. I have been keen to participate since the very first episodes of last season of the show. I am extremely grateful and I hope for even greater success.”Badr Ali Al Yahya from KSA, winner of the Nabd Al Soura competition, commented: “El Beit poetry show’s second season has continued its remarkable success from the first season. I am highly impressed by the voting process, which showcases the rich creativity of our poets.”The co-host for the second season, Emirati poet Ahmed Al Bidwawi, introduced this week’s guest: Khamis Al Mughaimi from the Sultanate of Oman, who is one of the most renowned Nabati poets. Al Mughaimi commented: “I am very proud and delighted to be invited as a guest of honour for such a unique poetry show, as I have always made sure not to miss an episode.” He added: “His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, supports initiatives that are highly creative and unique, and which continue to have a remarkable impact on both viewers and participants. The show is a live example of how poets can be inspired to compete in a transparent, creative show that promotes poetic talents.” The guest of honour selected his favourite chater (first half of a poetic verse) on the Golden Screen, composed by Mohammed Al Mutairi, who won AED 100,000. His conceptual depth and grasp of deeper symbolism qualified him into the Grand Finale episode, where he stands to win AED 1 million.
