ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (SUPPORT) Location: Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent. • 5-6 years, in offshore/onshore oil and gas production and processing facilities. • Provides sound technical and business related input during the preparation, review or commenting on variety of engineering studies design documentation, specifications etc. • Comprehensive experience in both hazardous and non classified design concepts with sound knowledge of various HV and LV electrical systems using the latest technology. • Demonstrated history using latest related international standards and codes especially for system integrity, reliability and HSE. • Computer skills covering discipline specific (EDSA/ETAP) and business software packages. • Proficient in English. JD Basic Function: • Provides professional discipline technical services for pan company support of project teams including brownfield and pipelines and towers projects divisions by giving technical authority guidance and assistance for excellence in engineering design support of electrical power generation, distribution and control systems covering all company facilities. • Ensures that all design integrity and HSE issues are fully integrated. Tasks, Duties and Accountabilities: • Reviews and recommends on significant/critical engineering design documents for alignment and conformity with company practices for projects development throughout the company including those by, the P&E business unit, pipelines and towers projects and CPLD. • Provides and support for the preparation of significant feasibility studies, design and engineering packages and participation in the development of SOR’s, SOW’s, O&M philosophies etc. • Provides in house technical authority and specialized skills support for problem solving and investigations to maintain and optimize plant performance and safety. • Builds discipline peer relationships to pool and develop technical expertise, within and external to the company including contractors/vendors and sister companies. • Participates in development of company knowledge sharing networks to promote discipline excellence. • Coordinates with company divisions and assets to support investigation of operational or business development opportunities/standardization/KPI’s etc. • Trains, mentors and coaches PEERS and UAE graduates within the company organization. • Seeks and reviews new technologies/advances. maintain awareness of industry practices, trends and improvements to existing field equipment and systems. • Works independently to specific man-hour and schedule targets with acceptable levels of quality. • Controls and assists for applying the provisions and guidelines of the HSE, quality assurance and integrity management systems. • Participates in HSE studies, PHSER, HAZOP, HAZID etc. • Develops and maintains as technical custodian, discipline related company engineering standards and specifications observing latest legislation and technology innovations. • Ensures uniformity and standardization compatibility at optimum levels in design and engineering in all phases of the project and update company standards and specifications by incorporating the lessons learned. • Conducts technical authority reviews and acceptance of vendor/supplier deviations or non-compliance requests to the company specifications/standards submitted by the project PMC. • Reviews bidder’s lists, bid document for contract/purchase for all electrical power and control systems and equipment. • Review technical bid evaluation report and approve selection of equipment and systems. • Conducts pre-qualification exercises for manufacturers, consultants and service providers etc. • Provides electrical power control and distribution systems conformance assurance by support of inspection/testing/upgrade and commissioning. • Conducts presentations to company management/shareholders for project execution justification and status. • Conducts discipline engineering interviews for pan company manpower recruitment, including projects support for PMC awards. • Ensures effective implementation of company policies in design and selection of electrical equipment including the equipment located in hazardous environment. • Involves electrical power system studies by using related electrical system software widely accepted in the industry. • Review and approve electrical power system study report in phases of the project. • Works in line with HSE policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates for more details naukrigulf/job-listings-ELECTRICAL-ENGINEER-SUPPORT--Abu-Dhabi-United-Arab-Emirates-Five-Continents-Technical-and-Industrial-Services-Est--5-to-10-years-271214000007-?xz=1_2_5&jobId=271214000007&key=engineer&keyar=&loc=&exp=&srchRank=2&srchId=141966689582202300&currPage=1&sort=date&freshness=&compType=&companyId=&partnercompany=
