EMAIL FROM MEMBER RE: STEP PARENT ADOPTION: "Hello. Me and my partner are planning to get married and she as 2 children who havent had any contact with there fathers her eldest was around 5 when she had contact with her father and is now 13 and her youngest as never had contact with her father and i have said to my partner how would she feel about me adopting her daugthers and she is happy about this so i just want to do some research on the matter as i have tried to google it and seem to struggle to understand what i have read so i thought maybe can get some advice here on it. A bit about me i am 30 and i have poor physical health and need aids in mobiliy and am worried this would go against me i also have 2 children who live with there mum and i see them as regularly as i can as since i fell ill i have been unable to travel every month like i used to now rely on my mum to take me there so im not trying to replace my kids that i have in a previous relationship i also suffer with mental illness such as depression and hearing voices (but I never take notice of the voices and they never tell me to do things or anything) i just feel the voices are linked into something from my past and i am getting this all addressed now just wondered if you could help me with some advice Thanks p.s i feel my partners youngest daugther is more needing that father in her life and her eldest also but i want to adopt them both as there would be no issues of resentment"
