EMPATHY - I have been always moved by thoughts on Empathy & I believed that being in someones shoes, in my varied roles like daughter/ mom/ daughter-in-law/ wife/ trainer/ counsellor/ friend, is truly to understand lives & choices that were different from mine. We all may claim that we show empathy but generally our empathy is also biased. We are more prone to feel empathy for those who are like us in habits or interests & connects us to particular individuals.. not with people at large. Being empathetic doesnt mean to be a good person, in fact it is more being a good person to more distanced compassion, along with self control and a sense of justice. I also believe that empathy should be as central to childrens education as maths, science & history. I am certain that in the future, it would help them become change makers of the world. Though in educational commercialisation, it is a struggle to find a school that would make such values their priority
