EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Team Leader of Giving Programs Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto (MCC Toronto) has an extraordinary opportunity for a passionate fundraiser with an interest in social justice issues and serving in a progressive spiritual community. The Team Leader of Giving Programs is an existing role partially fulfilled through a temporary contract arrangement. This role is full-time and will have a matrix reporting relationship with both the Executive Pastor (primary report) and Executive Director (secondary report). The purpose of this role is to create and implement: 1) a year-round comprehensive stewardship program 2) a comprehensive sponsorship program and 3) effective and efficient systems/processes that support our giving programs. The key success measures unique to this role are: 1) annual congregational giving and sponsorship targets are achieved 2) an accurate and reliable donor database is maintained 3) processes related to giving programs are effective, efficient, well documented and well understood by the appropriate staff and volunteers 4) a number of volunteer teams are established and play a key role in advancing MCC Toronto’s fundraising objectives and 5) fundraising expenses are managed within budget. Key Programs of Responsibility: - Year-round stewardship strategy that produces a program with sufficient revenues to support the ongoing vision, mission and ministries of MCC Toronto - Congregational giving and corporate/foundational grants for the Refugee program - Planned/Legacy Giving program - Donor recognition programs - Grant for the Triangle Program - Sponsorship strategy for all MCC Toronto events - “in-kind” donation program - Circle of Friends Program Qualifications and Attributes: - Prior fundraising experience is preferred; ideally in a community centre organization - Comprehensive knowledge of social media tools and techniques is preferred. - Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal - Demonstrated ability to motivate and support volunteers and staff This is a tremendous opportunity to join an organization that plays a unique role in the local community, is passionate about its growing value to the world and helps individuals achieve their spiritual development goals.
