EN - Neven Mimica, Member of the European Commission in charge of International Cooperation and #Development, in China (26-28/11/2014): meeting with Gao Hucheng, Chinese Minister of Commerce. We see China as a #strategic partner in the development issues. We would like to transit from the donor-recipient relation that we used to have traditionally in the past to a #donor-donor relation or #cooperation or strategic dialogue with emerging donors as China is. So the main purpose is to meet the counterparts in the government and in Chinese academia and think tanks, in order to better understand our respective positions on the global development agenda, to better coordinate these policies in the future.
