END IT NOW. Abuse against women must stop. There are TOO MANY stories of abuse against women. What in the WORLD are we doing about it? With joint efforts around the world, violence against women can one day stop. Here are some ways our fellow humanitarian organizations are helping: (1) Our friends at ADRA Thailand have a project called, Keep Girls Safe to contribute to a reduction in trafficking: adrathailand.org/programs/keep-girls-safe.html; (2) The General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists are hosting an event from May 1-4, 2014 called, End It Now: enditnow.org/calendars/local-events/events/1593?uid=1593; and (3) The UN Secretary-General’s UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign, managed by UN Women, has proclaimed every 25th of the month as “Orange Day” – a day to take action to raise awareness and prevent violence against women and girls.
