“END OF THE SPEAR” is a movie based on the true story of Nate Saint, an American missionary pilot to the jumgle of Ecuador, where him and other missionaries tried to share the gospel with the Waodani people. The Waodani were widely feared, because they attacked and killed any intruders without provocation. Nate and 4 other missionaries were speared to death in their attempt to reach the Waodani. Rachel Saint, Nates sister, continued the mission efforts to the Waodani, which meant a change of mentality of the Indians, which eventually came to fruition, the tribe came to Christ. Today, Nate´s son, Steve Saint and Mincaye, the man who speared Steve´s dad. travel around the world preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mincaye ended up being by Steves side and helped him through the hard times (such as the death of Steves only daughter). “I realize that if we let God write the story, He doesn’t always promise that all the chapters will be easy, but He does promise that in the last chapter, He´ll make sense of all the other things that have happened even though some of them are terribly painful. – Steve Saint. This is the Christianity the “get rich or die trying” Pastors never preach. “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33 “GO therefore and make disciples of all the nations,….. and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20.
