ENOCK CHIHANA COSTS TIGRESSES SPONSORSHIP: Barely few days after the Mutharika children withdrew sponsorship for Blantyre netball outfit Tigresses, MBNV has established that the withdraw was as a result of Youth and Sports Minister Enock Chihana’s hostile conduct against the young Mutharikas ‘ According to an inside source at Tigresses, Chihana has been asking Tigresses officials to stop using the name of Bingu on their name and also calling them to terminate contract with the Mutharikas. Chihana had promised the netball outfit that once they terminate contract he would personally find for them another lucrative sponsorship. Chihana also managed to manipulate the thinking of other officials like Hellen Mpinganjira and players who ganged up and started being rude and were not corporative to the young Mutharikas. This is one of the reasons that forced Peace Chawinga to leave the club because she was against the whole plot. According to the source, the Mutharikas were therefore left with no choice but terminate sponsorship because the pressure was just too much and they couldn’t stand the hostility.
