NEXT CLASS START DATE August 26, 2013 (subject to change) CLASSROOM HOURS Students attend Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. rotating every third Saturday. LOCATION Classes are held at Studio RLC at Rend Lake Marketplace Mt.Vernon, Illinois. Both classroom and clinical are held here. PROFESSIONAL DRESS AGREEMENT Studio RLC students are a walking ad for the Cosmetology program, Rend Lake College, and the profession. Professional ALL black dress clothing and closed toe shoes are required. ENROLLMENT PROCESS An applicant must complete an Application for Admission with Rend Lake College. You may complete the application online at rlc.edu or request for one to be mailed to you. Contact Studio RLC to complete your Registration process. Call (618) 242-8459 to schedule an appointment with Daphne to register for the class Provide proof of education. High school diploma or GED Provide proof of residency. Driver’s license, auto license registration, voter registration card, proof of occupancy residence, utility or telephone bill, or property tax statement. Students must complete payment arrangements before the first day of class. Kit and books must be paid for in full prior to picking up. FINANCIAL AID Students in the program may apply for Federal and State grants. In addition, students and/or their parent(s) may apply for a student loan. The first step in applying for Financial Aid is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) Also, students are encouraged to fill out the RLC Foundation application.
