ERC regular Stratieva tries rally organisation for size Ekaterina Stratieva doesn’t just take part on rallies – she also organises them. The FIA European Rally Championship regular was part of the organising team behind Rally Bulgaria, a round of the FIA European Rally Trophy, which took place while her fellow ERC competitors were in action on auto24 Rally Estonia last month. She said: “For the last 10 months I see what is rally and organisation from the other side. I like this job because in nine years I saw what I miss by racing and now I try to give this to other competitors. It is not an easy job but I like it and I hope that with other young people from my country we can try to change rally sport. I learn many things in the last years from the ERC and Eurosport and try to bring them here to Bulgaria. The work was really hard and I see that time is never enough. There were moments that I preferred to put my helmet on and go to the time control but I was happy with the things that I did.” Stratieva hopes to be back behind the wheel on Barum Czech Rally Zlín from 29-31 August.
