ERIC HOLDER New legal complaint could lead to Holder’s disbarment Eric Holder July 9, 2012 examiner/article/new-legal-complaint-could-lead-to-holder-s-disbarment President Obama’s eleventh hour save of Eric Holder by invoking Executive privilege over Fast and Furious documents may have temporarily protected the Attorney General, yet fresh legal challenges might cause him to lose his law license. Several days ago bloggers Mike Vanderboegh and David Codrea filed a joint complaint to the Washington, D.C. Office of Bar Counsel accusing Holder of improper conduct while Congress was attempting to unveil the truth surrounding the gun-running operation, which left a border patrol officer dead. Both accusers argue the contempt vote on Holder affirmed that he has violated multiple standards for legal practice and should be punished by the capitol’s ethics board. They pointed by noting: “It would appear that several, if not all of these rules, have been violated.” It is not the first time that the possibility of Holder’s disbarment has been brought up. In 2011 Congressman Paul Broun called for Holder to resign and asked that he be disbarred. The Justice Department has not commented on the new legal assault thus far.
