UNDER ERNEST KOROMA’S BLOOD RED SKY In 2007, Ernest Koroma promised the people of Sierra Leone that, The people of Sierra Leone will see a turning of the country after 36 months of my presidency Ernest Koroma asserted, and therefore called on all present to take the message of hope and vision nationwide for the development of our beloved country Sierra Leone. HAS THE PRESIDENT ACHIEVED HIS GOAL? They told us: DE PA DI WOK They told us all the roads were paved and there were shiny new buildings everywhere. They told us that President Koroma was “WORLDS BEST” leader. They told us foreign investment was at record levels. They told us that we were going to have a first class healthcare system. They said Sierra Leone was on the move………… Hmmmm……. I guess they forgot to tell us that Sierra Leone was on the move to becoming a personal mafia fiefdom for the Blood red Ernest Koroma political machine. They kept us in the dark (no electricity)!!!!!!!! They kept us thirsty (no running water)!!!!!!!! They treated us with total disdain (no jobs, poor education and no justice)!!! And now, under President Koroma’s Blood Red Sky, Ebola destroys our lives because they were too slow to act decisively, due to their incompetence and arrogance. President Koroma, what a terrible legacy you bequeath to our nation— When you came, our land was green and filled with hope. And now, all we see is the bloody Red reminder of Ebola’s menace. WE WILL NEVER FORGET WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO OUR BELOVED NATION My fellow Sierra Leoneans, we will pay a heavy price for our sycophancy; our refusal to hold President Ernest Bai Koroma accountable. And the chronic lack of discipline and professionalism in our society. We are not in this mess because we dont pray hard or because we dont help our kith and kin, but because we have lost sight of our VALUES. ......No amount of artificial unity and prayers will change that. Only an end to sycophancy and the courage to speak the truth can save us!!! As the death toll from the Ebola virus outbreak in Sierra Leone continues to rise, experts are also concerned about the long-term effects the disease will have on the already fragile market and economy of Sierra Leone which has suffered the most damage. “We are at a dangerous moment,” wrote World Bank President Jim Yong Kim and Harvard University Professor Paul Farmer, in a weekend editorial in the Washington Post. “Tens of thousands of lives, the future of the region and hard-won economic and health gains for millions hang in the balance.” My fellow Sierra Leoneans, the 2014 Ebola nightmare in Sierra Leone will be President Ernest Koromas everlasting LEGACY. Total ECONOMIC disaster Total HUMAN disaster Total NATIONAL reputation in tatters!!! Could this enormous disaster have been avoided? YES....YES....YES March 23rd 2014 will go down in history as the day your governments incompetence was exposed. The day you revealed just how little you care about our people. You are obviously the only person in the world who did not know just how devastating Ebola is. Why else would you not have implemented a robust risk assessment and strategic Public Health Emergency response? Why else would you not have deployed an intelligent and effective Educational Awareness programme? The panic, confusion and chaos surrounding Ebola is due to your inability to sensitise our people properly. Ignorance and fear can be defeated with the proper dissemination of information in a timely manner. You failed to do this. God did not let us down. You did. It is utterly and completely contemptible to be ready to fight to the last drop of other peoples blood. It is utterly and completely contemptible!!!!!
