ESPN continues to boggle the brain with its mindless editorial decisions. Last night, it showed the Golden State-Utah game. During halftime, the Jazz honored longtime head coach Jerry Sloan for his combined 1,223 regular season and playoff victories. In attendance were his main guys Karl Malone and John Stockton. But instead of showing the ceremony live and uninterrupted in its entirety, the worldwide loser in sports showed slam dunk highlights from six or seven other NBA games. Which is more rare in the NBA: a slam dunk or a coach staying with the same team for 23 years and recording 1,223 wins? ESPN did Jerry Sloan and NBA fans everywhere a huge disservice.
