ESSAY CONTEST U.S. Consulate General in St. Petersburg is happy to announce an Essay Contest dedicated to the upcoming G20 Summit, hosted in St. Petersburg on 5-6 September 2013. In no more than 800 words, write which of these you believe is the most important priority, why you think that priority is going to help improve the global economy and promote growth, and explain how the priority could best be achieved. The essay should be no more than 800 words and no fewer than 500 words. Footnotes, citations, and the bibliography are not included in the word count. The essay should be structured with a strong thesis, supporting arguments, and conclusion. Participants could use a wide variety of sources including news articles, books, internet research, or interviews. All sources must be cited. All submissions are due (submitted via email to [email protected], “G20 Essay” in the subject line) no later than midnight on September 2, 2013. The winner essays will be republished on the U.S. Consulate St. Petersburg website and will be submitted to Washington policy makers prior to the G20 Summit.
