ESWC #DAYONE What we know about the map pool / veto session. The current map pool is. • de_dust2 • de_inferno • de_nuke • de_mirage • de_cache • de_cobblestone • de_overpass How the Veto session will work in a BO1 Team A will remove 1 map, then Team B will remove 1 map and so on till theres one map left. How the Veto session will work in a BO3 Team A veto 1 map. Team B veto 1 map. Team A picks 1 map. Team B picks 1 map Team A veto 1 map. Team B veto 1 map. And then theres only 1 map left. Which will be the third map. _____________________________ Date: 30th of October Time: 17:00 CET Tournament/League: ESWC 2014 LAN/Online: Online Maps: BO1, TBA Fnatic: JW, KRiMZ, pronax, flusha, olofm Natus Vincere: seized, Edward, Zeus, starix, GuardiaN CSGOLOUNGE ODDS: Fnatic 81% vs NaVi 19% MY ODDS: Fnatic 70% vs NaVi 30% RISK: High MY BET: Nothing so far These two teams have not played each ohter in a while now and I cant really say that Im that impressed by NaVis former results compared to Fnatics. NaVi have been struggle both on LAN and online and it have recently felt like its Seized and Guardian that is supposed to carry the team compared to before. As we saw with NaVis first match during the Faceit tournament, he had a score of 3/22 in stats. And NaVi got rekt. Fnatic just won the Faceit tournament with a 100% winning ratio in matches. What I love about fnatic is that they got 5 players that are all capable of doing the clutches. Fnatic have while NaVi are just standing still been improving alot, improving more and more day by day and it currently feels like no team have found a way to stop their aggressive playstyle as CT where JW is roaming around getting the early picks / map control. Fnatic are currently the better team. More consistent and have been doing better both on LAN and Online. Plus that JW is just way more consistent than Guardian at the moment. And same goes for Seized. Because we have seen that if JW falls down of the scoreboard on a match or two that it doesnt change the result from a win to a loss. But for example in NaVis roster, as we could see. As soon as Seized did bad, they lost. Thats the big difference between these two teams at the moment. This is a best of one. And a best of one is never good, because its mostly about Who will the map favor? So what map will each team veto? • de_dust2 Fnatic • de_inferno PICK • de_nuke NaVi • de_mirage Fnatic • de_cache NaVi • de_cobblestone NaVi • de_overpass Fnatic This seems to be the most logical choice of map. Fnatic should veto de_dust2, de_mirage, de_overpass. These three maps are maps that Fnatic are good on. But at the same time, they are beasts on inferno and de_inferno is the weakest map for NaVi, which makes the odds stronger for Fnatic. NaVi should veto de_nuke, de_cache, de_cobblestone. NaVi have never really been that strong on de_nuke, and have always had that as a first veto, unless for the G3 tournament, where they lost on nuke anyway. De_Cache is a map where they have never been strong at. Been doing fine but I think they can do the math themselves that they will not do that well on it against a well organised fnatic. Based on our prediction that it will be de_inferno, we can only say that OUR CHOICE will be Fnatic. Why? Because I dont think that NaVis special 20 sec pushes will have a big affect on fnatics aggressive playstyle since NaVi are mostly waiting for picks. Which I do not think will work that well for them tomorrow. The last that NaVi attended was just a terrible tournament for them imo. The odds are a bit skewed so our suggestion is to skip this match because NaVi do not deserve to be down 18%. But at the same time, Fnatic are that much better right now so our choice will still be on Fnatic. ____________________________ Date: 30th of October Time: 12:30 CET Tournament/League: ESCW LAN/Online: LAN Maps: De_TBA C9: n0thing, shroud, sgares, Hiko, semphis VP: Snax,Neo,Taz, pasha, byali CSGOLOUNGE ODDS: Cloud9 38% vs VP 62% MY ODDS: Cloud9 40% vs VP 60% RISK: High/V-HIGH MY BET: Nothing so far Both of the teams played each other not that long ago on the FACEIT LAN tournament, two different matches, where Cloud9 won on de_cache 16:11 and VP won 16:6 on de_inferno. Both of the teams will have 2x matches before this match, against the same opponents and I do not see either VP or c9 struggle that much against any of their opponents before this match. Map pool, Veto. • de_dust2 VP • de_inferno • de_nuke C9 • de_mirage C9 • de_cache • de_cobblestone VP • de_overpass C9 The current map pool are actually in favor of VP compared to the last map pool on faceit. Just because de_season wont be played. C9 should veto Overpass, Mirage, Nuke. Overpass is a match that VP are just way more experienced on compared to C9. We have not seen C9 play that many matches in the NA scene nor against any european teams either while VP have played plenty. Mirage = A map where C9 would get destroyed by VP. Same goes for Nuke. VP should veto dust2, cobblestone and then either inferno/cache. dust2 is simply just because C9 are better than VP on this map. Cobblestone have never been a map that VP likes. I remember when they interviewed TaZ about it in the beginning when Overpass and Cobblestone got published. He simply said that it has to many tweaks and need to be fixed, too many corners etc. So the map should be either inferno or cache. Comparing these two teams is hard. The individual skill is more or less the same but what makes VP the stronger team is that they always play phenomenally well as a team. The odds are currently perfect in my opinion 62% vs 38% in favor of VP. Just because VP got better results last tournament, not by far but I still think that they performed better than Cloud9. This is a very risky match but with the veto in hand we will have to do our choice and our choice here will be VP. Because we find them in general being the stronger team. So therefore OUR CHOICE Will be VP and we suggest a low bet on them! ____________________ Date: 30th of October Time: 16:00 CET Tournament/League: ESCW LAN/Online: LAN Maps: De_TBA LDLC shox,NBK,SmithZz, HappY, kioShiMa VP: Snax, Neo pazasha byali, taz CSGOLOUNGE ODDS: LDLC 72% vs VP 28% MY ODDS: LDLC 57% vs VP 43% RISK: V-HIGH MY BET: Nothing so far! This is a tough match, no doubt. They faced each other in the faceit tournament where LDLC won 2-0 against them. But LDLC have not done that well after that and been playing lots of french teams online afterwards while VP have had the time to look into what they did wrong and what they could do better in a different way. LDLC is the team that have been improving the most compared to all teams out there lately and are a very dangerous opponent. Because they got a great individual skill. Better than VP, and they are improving more and more with their teamplay and strats. The odds are though very skewed up. 72% in favor of LDLC is madness in my opinion. VP are not that bad and can definitely cause an upset here. Map pool / Veto • de_dust2 VP • de_inferno • de_nuke LDLC • de_mirage LDLC • de_cache VP • de_cobblestone VP • de_overpass LDLC should veto nuke, mirage, VP should veto de_dust2, de_cache, de_cobblestone. de_dust2 is just a map that LDLC are better on and Cobblestone is a map that VP just do not like. The reason why they should veto de_cache is because it used to be one of their better maps but they have recently been struggling alot on this map. Against most of the teams they have played. Cloud9, fnatic, LDLC & more. So depending on who gets to ban first, the map should be between Overpass & Inferno. In that case, Overpass is more or less a coin-toss. Both of the teams are good on Overpass. Which team is the better team on it is hard to tell because neither of the teams have played it alot. De_inferno. LDLC barely won the last time, they played it 16:14 against VP and did struggle alot actually. While VP have been improving alot, more and more on inferno and that is why I disagree completely with the odds here. The odds are still in LDLCs favor but OUR CHOICE here will be VP. Because VP got a bigger chance than what the odds are telling us so we suggest a ICB bet on VP here! ICB = Inventory cleaner bet, for example 4x 0.5$ skins. Depending on how big your inventory is. ___________________ Date: 30th of October Time: 18:00 CET Tournament/League: LAN/Online: LAN Maps: BO1 (TBA) Cloud9: n0thing, shroud, sgares, Hiko, semphis LDLC: shox, NBK, SmithZz, Happy, kioShiMa CSGOLOUNGE ODDS: Cloud9 23% vs LDLC 77% MY ODDS: Cloud9 30% vsLDLC 70% RISK: High MY BET: Nothing so far! Cloud9 havent had that much time to improve that much compared to what they used the last time. They didnt impress me that much at all to be honest and their map pool have just grown to be in more favor of LDLC now when season is gone. So due to the chances for Cloud9 and that they got even lower compared to the last tournament makes this call even easier. LDLC is the better team in general. Been playing better as a team and got the better individual skill as well. Plus they got more experience on almost all the maps in my opinon based on how each team play. So therefore our choice will be LDLC here. _______________________ MY CHOICES: NaVi vs K1CK = NaVi VP vs Cloud9 = VP LDLC vs VP = VP (LOW) Fnatic vs NaVi = Fnatic Cloud9 vs LDLC = LDLC MY BETS: Nothing so far! Remember: Do not bet more than you can lose. A thing with betting is that you should atleast be able to lose the same amount you place on a match atleast 5 times If you want to be a bit ballsy then atleast 2-3 times! Otherwise you will never succeed in long-term betting.
