EUGENE WELLBORN BUTT lived on the east side of the Courthouse Square (where Seasons Inn hotel is today) in the house where his daughter, Cora Wellborn, lived. He built the store (store below, year unknown) next to his home in 1885 and operated a mercantile business there until his death.
