EUNICE, WIFE OF LATE BRIGADIER ADEKUNLE FAJUYI, DIES AT 85 Mrs Eunice Ayodele Fajuyi, wife of late Adekunle Fajuyi passed on in the early hours of today. She lost her husband at 38 years, when her husband Brigadier Adekunle Fajuyi, former Governor of Western State was assassinated in the counter coup of January 1966, while hosting General Aguiyi Ironsi the then military head of state. She would have turned 83 next Friday. It would be recalled that in 2009, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Babafemi Ojudu and Dr Kayode Fayemi collaborated and pulled down the mud house left for her by her husband and within six months erected a befitting structure in replacement. Also, a mini museum in honour of her patriotic and gallant husband was attached to the house.
