EUROVISION! Do you like music? What is your favourite type of music? Do you like to listen to music in different languages? If so, maybe you are a big fan of the European Contest Eurovision. The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual song competition held among the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since 1956. There have been a number of Eurovision artists and groups whose careers were directly launched into the spotlight following their win. Notable examples were ABBA, who won the contest for Sweden in 1974 with their song Waterloo, and went on to become one of the most successful bands of all time. Austrian drag act Conchita Wurst has been crowned the winner of the 59th annual Eurovision Song Contest held last Saturday in Denmarks capital, Copenhagen.
