#EVA14 Artist Talk series kicks off tomorrow with: Garrett Phelan Thursday 8 May 2014, 2–4pm at Limerick City Gallery of Art Garrett Phelan will give an artist talk offering personal insight into his practice with a focus on his contribution to the 36th edition of EVA International AGITATIONISM curated by Bassam El Baroni. ... THAT TENSE EXPECTATION ... (2014) a project commissioned by EVA, is an integration of the artist’s practice into the identity output for EVA 2014. The work aims to reflect confusion and disjuncture within systems of conviction and principles – unknown spaces or entities. It represents both certainty and true irrationality or perhaps ultimately the energy used when trying to rationalise the impossible. The intention throughout the project is a highlighting of capitulation to the absolute present tense.
