EVENT Carrboro Branch Art Gallery from January 20 to mid March. Present and past members of the Art Committee at Carrboro Public Library will contribute paintings and photographs to a show which will hang in the library from January 20 to mid March. David Taylor will exhibit six giclees of paintings, all of which are part of a series of nine I painted last year on the Moral Mondays protests in Raleigh in 2013. The originals of these paintings have been touring the state since February, 2014 along with photographs by Carrboro Photographer Dave Otto. Carrboro Branch Art Gallery The Carrboro Branch Library Arts Program is an artist-operated program supported by the Friends of the Carrboro Branch Library and the Orange County Arts Commission. The Arts Program has transformed the Carrboro Branch Library into a genuine art gallery that has displayed the work of over 1,650 local artists over the past 17 years. The Arts Program curates 4 gallery shows a year, each focusing on a unique theme.
