EVENT: TRACK: LENGTH: DATE: TV: RADIO: Kansas Lottery 300 (200 laps / 300 miles) Kansas Speedway 1.5 - mile tri - oval Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 ESPN (Coverage begins at 3:30 p.m. EST) MRN (3 p.m. EST) “We’re happy to have Fire Alarm back with us this weekend, and I like the whole idea behind the pink car for this race. It’s for a great cause because breast can- cer awareness is important to all of us and something the entire NASCAR community supports. “Kansas was a tremendous opportunity for me last year in the Cup race and it opened doors for me, in- cluding the chance to get in the 7 car. We’ve strug- gled a little bit over the past few weeks to finish the race strong. We know what needs to be done. I know JRM has had success at Kansas, and it’s as good a place as any to get back up front.” “I’m really excited to get to Kansas. Our package, for whatever reason, really performs well on the fresh re- paves, and the bigger tracks seem to suit my driving style. I feel like the surface we’ll have at Kansas this weekend compares pretty close to Michigan and that was my best finish of the season (sixth). “The pink car looks great. I enjoy getting the opportunity to run special paint schemes. It says a lot about both JR Motorsports and Great Clips to do a whole car in support of breast cancer awareness and to participate in the Paint the Track Pink program.” SMITH AT KANSAS (NNS) Starts 2 Wins 0 Top 5s 0 Top 10s 0 Poles 0 Laps Led 0 Avg.
