EVENTS (11th of August/Part -1) 1832: Colonel Pottenger informs his Govt. that Sinh Rulers have agreed to his suggestion for levy of duties at one place and Bombay army would move accross the river to put down the plunders. Reader must keep in mind that this type of develop took place after allowing East India Co. to use Indus for their purposes in the name of trading facilities. 1839: Ross Bell, Political Agent, Upper Sindh, requests his Govt. for raising of Afhan horsemen (force consisting of Afghans). Later on he was allowed to enrole 200 Afghan Horsemen. 1843: Charles Napeir poisions the Governor - General of India that false play is being played by the people near to ex - rulers, therefore he is getting laters not only late, but opened also. 1857: Captain Merewether, Political Superintendent, Upper Sindh submitts for Govt. sanction a project about construction of navigable canal from Indus river to the new town of Kashmore.
