But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. MATT 5:39. WHY SHOULD WE ACCEPT BEING SLAPPED? WHEN DAVID SINNED BY SLEEPING WITH URIAHS WIFE ALSO ALLEGED OF KILLING URIAH - FOR THAT REASON HE WAS CAST OUT OF HIS THRONE AND SENT AWAY FROM THE CITY. SHIMEI THE SON OF GERA STARTED CURSING HIM-- 5 When King David came to Bahurim, there came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera, and as he came he cursed continually. 6 And he threw stones at David and at all the servants of King David, and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left. 7 And Shimei said as he cursed, “Get out, get out, you man of blood, you worthless man! 8 The Lord has avenged on you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned, and the Lord has given the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom. See, your evil is on you, for you are a man of blood.” 9 Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king, “Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over and take off his head.” 10 But the king said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? If he is cursing because the Lord has said to him, ‘Curse David,’ who then shall say, ‘Why have you done so?’” 11 And David said to Abishai and to all his servants, “Behold, my own son seeks my life; how much more now may this Benjaminite! Leave him alone, and let him curse, for the Lord has told him to. 12 It may be that the Lord will look on the wrong done to me,[a] and that the Lord will repay me with good for his cursing today.” 13 So David and his men went on the road, while Shimei went along on the hillside opposite him and cursed as he went and threw stones at him and flung dust. 2 SAMUEL 16:5-13. WHEN DAVID WAS RESTORED TO THE THRONE - SHIMEI WAS BROUGHT BEFORE THE KING - 21 Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered, “Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the Lords anointed?” 22 But David said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should this day be as an adversary to me? Shall anyone be put to death in Israel this day? For do I not know that I am this day king over Israel?” 23 And the king said to Shimei, “You shall not die.” And the king gave him his oath. 2 SAMUEL 19:21-23. BUT STILL SHIMEI CURSE REQUIRES JUDGEMENT FOR GOD HAD COMMANDED IN EXODUS THAT -- You must not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people. EXODUS 22:28. DAVID COMMANDED SOLOMON TO TAKE VENGEANCE ON SHIMEI-- And there is also with you Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjaminite from Bahurim, who cursed me with a grievous curse on the day when I went to Mahanaim. But when he came down to meet me at the Jordan, I swore to him by the Lord, saying, ‘I will not put you to death with the sword.’ 9 Now therefore do not hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man. You will know what you ought to do to him, and you shall bring his gray head down with blood to Sheol.” 2 KINGS 1:-8-9. IF SHIMEI HAD KEPT HIS MOUTH HE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN KILLED THAT WAY. GOD USED BABYLON TO PAY BACK THE SIN OF ISRAEL AND YET GOD DESTROYED BABYLON ----> IF BABYLON HAD ALSO BE A CITY WITHOUT REBEL - THEY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR THE OPPRESSORS AND TO BE OPPRESSED. GOD USED JUDAS ISCARIOT TO MAKE JESUS SUFFERED FOR OUR SINS - YET JUDAS WAS CONDEMNED. IF JUDAS WAS NOT A THIEF HE WOULD HAVE BEEN UNFITTED TO FULFIL THE PROPHESY. GOD USED PHARAOH TO MAKE UNFORGOTTEN HISTORY YET HE WAS THE ONE THAT HARDENED HIS HEART. IF PHARAOH WAS NOT GREEDY HE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN USED. THIS IS THE TRUTH: ANYONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO DO EVIL BY EVIL HE WILL BE CARRIED AWAY ----> He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the [patience] and the faith of the saints. REVELATION 13:10. IF BY ANY MEANS YOU DO EVIL EITHER IN REVENGE OR BY ANY MEANS - YOU WILL BE PAID BACK. THAT IS REASON YOU MUST BE patient AS REVELATION COMMANDED. THIS IS THE ADVICE OF JEREMIAH THE PROPHET: 27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. 28 Let him sit alone in silence when it is laid on him; 29 let him put his mouth in the dust— there may yet be hope; 30 (( let him give his cheek )) to the one who strikes, and (( let him be filled with insults )). LAMENTATIONS 3:27-30.
