EVERYDAY CAN BE A NEW BEGINNING “This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Today, my job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have. Today, I can complain about the weather or I can praise God that He is in charge of it all. Today, I can grumble about my financesor I can be grateful for what I have. Today, I can moan about my health or I can rejoice over what health I have and use it to serve someone else. Today, I can murmur about how others treat me or I can determine to treat others the way I would want to be treated. Today, I can frantically rush through the hours of this day accomplishing much or little, or I can purposefully do what I know I can do with what I have and be content in that. Today, I can whine because of the irritations and interruptions that come my way or I can smile and know that life is not what happens to me, but what I do with what happens. Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the Sculptor who gets to do the shaping. What today will be like is up to me. I get to choose what kind of day I will have. And I choose to make it a great day – because He has made me. So, have a GREAT DAY … unless you have other plans.
