EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ELECTION 2014: Rule 21 of the association states that the officers of the association shall be: (a) A President (b) A Vice-President (c) A Treasurer (d) A Secretary (e) A Social Welfare Secretary (f ) A Youth Coordinator. RULE 22: ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND VACANCY- 22.1 Nominations of candidates for elections as officers of the association: (a) Shall be made in writing, signed by two members of the Association and accompanied by the written consent of the candidate (which may be endorsed on the form of nomination ); and (b) Shall be delivered to the Secretary of the association not less than seven days before the date fixed for the holding of the annual general meeting. 22.2 If sufficient nominations are not received to fill all vacancies on the Committee, the candidates nominated shall be deemed to be elected and further nominations shall be received at the annual general meeting.( 22.3 ) If the number of nominations received is equal to the number of vacancies to be filled, the persons nominated shall be deemed to be elected ( 22.4 )If the number of nomination exceeds the number of vacancies to be filled, a ballot shall be held ( 22.5 ) The ballot for the election of officers and ordinary members of the Committee shall be conducted at the annual general meeting in such and proper manner as the Committee may direct (22.6) A nomination of a candidate for election under this clause is not valid if that candidate has been nominated for another office at the same election. ** The present Caretaker Committee will constitute electoral committee to oversee a free and fair election which will hold during the annual general meeting on Saturday 29th March 2014.
