Inspired by the parallel social & aesthetic longevity of the Art Deco period – this exhibition reflects both the culturally significant style celebrating beauty for beauty’s sake – the boom of the roaring 1920’s & the bust of the Depression-ridden 1930’s. Although these photographs are all recent works, the spirit of the lifestyle that this ethos encapsulated serves as a parallel escape from the current economic climate, just as it did in the 1930s.
