EXPEDITION PHOTOGRAPHER: I just thought I would introduce you to my expedition photographer. Meet my wife, Lauren McEntire Spence. We first met aboard a cruise ship bound to Nassau in 1995. It was another 13 years before we dated, and another year after that before we got married. She does the topside photography on my shipwreck treasure expeditions. She is only a novice diver, but she has a lot of guts and trusts me or I could never have talked her into joining me in water teaming with thousands of jellyfish, while I was diving a shipwreck several miles off Monte Christi in the Dominican Republic. The early 18th century silver coin she wears is out of a large clump of coins that had been encrusted and cemented together by silver sulphide, mud, coral and sand.
