EXPLANATION FUNDRAISERS AND DONATIONS: i just want to make sure everyone understands what is going on financially with us and this accident as i have gotten a few messages asking because there are so many posts about fundraisers. I had medical ins thru my boarding facility i have owned for 7 years. with obama care my policy is no longer valid unless i hire 2 employees that are w2 which is not an option so my policy is cancled as of Oct 1 and we have already had a $5000 deductible paid out thanks to so many of you for making that possible! where the problem comes up now is obama care requires the kaiser plans to be jan thru jan....that leaves us with a plan period of oct, nov, dec which will carry another deductible of $4500. THEN on Jan 1 we have to comply with obama care again and be started on yet another plan carrying ANOTHER $4500 deductible. SO THATS $9000 WE WILL NEED TO COME UP WITH UGH I try not to stress about it and trust in the lord that it will come and the money will be raised somehow. my poor husband was on the phone for close to 2 hours trying to get them to make an exception but they dont care and just kept saying nothing they can do about it. like everyone finances are beyond tight and i can not tell you how grateful i am to all of you and melissa reali from freedom horse rescue for pushing the fundraisers, yard sale and auction. when melissa first told me she was going to set up a fundraiser i told her i didnt really see the point because im just me...struggling like everyone else, im not famous, havent done anything spectacular for people to donate...nothing special. her reply was you are special! people will donate becuase of who you are. you dont have to prove anything, they will help because you are special and horse people stick together i can see that is so true...the horse world is HUGE! LOL SOOOOO that is why so much is still going on in way of trying to raise funds. a few people do not have the funds to donate but wanted to help so Kerri gehrmann is going to be selling jamberry nail wraps. rather then her getting the commission for the sales she set up a site for the commisions to go to the medical fund. a few others are donating items they sell online to be auctioned off. I WANT TO MAKE SURE THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE DONATED EVEN $5 I AM SO GRATEFUL TO YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND I KEEP YOU ALL IN MY PRAYERS. you are all amazing angels to me in my time of need but i hope more then anything we continue to get the message out about helmet safety!
