EXTRA CREDIT: BREAK SOME PHOTOGRAPHY RULES. SCALING EVEREST (just footsteps from the top) I don’t stick to many photography rules, as rules stifle my creativity. Basically the only rules I stick to are ones that will avoid me getting fined, sued, stalked, chased down the street by a person waving their arms and hands above their head, shot at, or thrown in jail, etc. etc. etc. You get the picture. Other than that – I basically do what I want. That being said, I broke the following rules to get this image: 1. When photographing objects, use an odd number – it’s more pleasing to the eye. So, instead of capturing an odd number of objects, I shot an even number of odd objects (?). One was a bit reluctant. 2. Keep that camera straight with the horizon! The minions refuse to work on steep slippery slopes, so I shot them on a flat surface with my camera tilted. 3. Never use cotton balls to depict snow – go outside and get the real thing. The minions refuse to work in the snow – oh well . . . 4. Rule #52323 – never photograph minions without getting permission from Gru! Gru who??
