Each one of us is eager for revision of pay. We have received news that UFBU is meeting in Mumbai on 22nd. We have been informed that meeting would discuss and decide the course of action for early settlement for revision of pay scale. We are also given to understand that march to parliament is being organized. Reliable sources reveal that one or two days strike call would be given. This confirms the earlier information given by same reliable sources that at least 10 days strike call would be given at frquent intervals on one pretext or the other to implement the secret deal of recovering around Rs.54, 000 Crores shortage in implementing the second option of pension. Honest leadership comes out in open to prove that such reports are false and UFBU is not doing any drama in the name of such meetings, negotiations, parliament march, demonstrations and strikes but they are really serious. We feel to understand as to why I present era of technology why proceedings of such meetings and negotiations are video recorded and uploaded on youtube and websites of the unions to make every thing transparent? This does not require any thing special but ca be done through smart phones which our leaders carry with them. I think if this is being done it will reimpose the faith and trust of bank employees in leadership and would go a long way in strengthening of the trade union movement in banking industry. On the eve of this meeting and ongoing negotiations between UFBU and IBA, it would be worth to apprise you of the factual position relating to bank officers and employees. Union leaders are shy to discuss such charts as these tables expose the capabilities of such leaders to get an honourable settlement for the bankers.
