Each year at Thanksgiving, I am thankful to be an American. It means everything to me. Imagine being born in a communist country. I grew up in Cuba, and we never celebrated anything there...No Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, Christmas, Halloween, or Easter. (No American football either...haha.) We only celebrated birthdays. My little transistor radio used to pick up the radio stations in Miami. Id listen all day to American music...and dreamed of coming to the United States. Ive been here 20 years (LEGALLY) and am so proud to be here. Lately, when you turn on the news, the stories are a little depressing...but believe me, the worst day in America is a million times better than the best day in a communist country. God Bless America and thank you to my husband for making me the happiest girl in the world.
