Each year the Environmental Working Group (EWG) issues their “Dirty Dozen” & “Clean Fifteen” lists. The Dirty Dozen list highlights the twelve heaviest sprayed produce products (fruits & vegetables) available to consumers. The “Clean Fifteen” lists, you get it!, the produce products that have the least amount of pesticides. When shopping, if produce that falls within the “Dirty Dozen” list is on your shopping list, look for the organic version (that means they were grown without pesticides).
