Eagles promise victory over Malawi. The team trainedunder heavy showers on Wednesday as they keep up preparations to face the Flames in Saturday’s crunch game By Lolade Adewuyi Sep 4, 2013 7:47:00 PMNigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama and midfielder Ogenyi Onazi have stated their resolve to pick all three points when they face Malawi in Saturday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier. Enyeama who missed the team’s last game against South Africa was in jolly mood as the team held its media parley on Wednesday morningin Calabar. The Lille number one declared that he was not in competition with any of the other goalkeepers for the starting position in the national team. Enyeama also gave a hint thatsooner than later he will quit the Super Eagles. He told the media that all the three goalkeepers in the national team - Austin Ejide and Chigozie Agbim and himself - are in the form of their lives and any of them can man the post well if chosen by the coaches. “All of us are good and I must say I am not in competition with any of them neither are they with me. Nigeria is blessed with great talents andit’s always good when you arecalled up to play,” Enyeama said. On his part, Lazio midfielder Onazi assured that the team will come out clean against Malawi on Saturday. Onazi said he and his teammates are fired up for Saturday’s game and assuredthat the team will not disappoint despite the furore that has been generated ahead of the encounter. The team trained under heavyrainfall on Wednesday evening at the UJ Esuene Stadium. Coach Stephen Keshi said during training that no matter the weather, the team was ready for the battle against Malawi. He declared that the focus is not only to win against Malawi but to get to the World Cup in Brazil next year. Despite the heavy rains that prevented some of the players from coming for the evening training, only Nnamdi Oduamadi and John Ogu arrived last to the Eagles camp.
