Earlier in my life before I was incacerated. I Spent many months - TopicsExpress

Earlier in my life before I was incacerated. I Spent many months in places that I would prefer to avoid. I have lived under bridges, spent a night under a cedar limb in Alaska at 20 below. Korean Pennisula in a tent for several weeks at 25 below. I survived it all, but the thing of my past that really stands out in my mind is the 2 months I spent living in a cardboard box in the homeless community in Phoenix AZ. I showed up there with no money and starving. A man, his name was T, who later I came to understand was the leader of this place came to my aid and assured me that I was safe. He was a black man, and I watched him deal with the Mexican Mafia. We spent many nights in my box discussing the events of the day. He was a man of integrity, and I will never forget him.. I do not have a hatred for the black man or woman. I have a problem with the welfare state of this country. People who just go down to pick up a cheque for existing. I have survived through many obsticals in my life. It is the way of American survival> I have never run to the corner welfare office no matter my situation. I still stand by my position on the status of this country. am
