Earlier this month UMNO online made a mistake which they immediately corrected. Their UMNO website had wrong quoted Penang Umno liaison committee chairman Zainal Abidin Osman as saying that Penang state had allocated RM1.5 billion to the voluntary patrol unit (PPS). The correct figure should be RM1.5 Million and not RM1.5 Billion and Zainal pointed out the figure was immediately corrected to RM1.5 million. It was found out that the website editor made that typo mistake and that UMNO Penang had already issued a statement to the press to correct it: tinyurl/q38z25s However, Penang CM Lim Guan Eng said the entire state government threatened to resign over the allegation, which was really a typo. Lim had since been reported as saying that the state government would give Zainal three days to prove the claim, after which legal action would be taken. And yesterday, the drama king, who has made multiple Excel and MS Word errors has got his lawyers to threaten to sue New Straits Times saying he suffered humiliation, odium, ridicule and public scandal over this one letter typo error which was immediately corrected. I wonder if the drama king also felt humiliation, odium, ridicule and public scandal when he admitted that there was an Excel error in the DAP CEC elections tabulation two years ago or when there was a word error when he mistakenly reported the Penang Tunnel was RM4.3 billion and then said the correct figure is RM6.3 billion later. Or how about this error he made earlier who said the land sales to IKEA/ASPEN is RM484 million instead of the RM284 million he had earlier announced? He had said that he made this RM200 million mistake bcecause he was too busy in launching a squash tournament: tinyurl/lffmrca Lim Guan Eng, you really drama lah. People already corrected the typo immediately and already said to the press that it was a typo that was immediately corrected. But it seems Lim Guan Eng likes to sue and this is what he is doing. I hope he is using his own personal money to pay the lawyers and not the Penang state money coz his lawyers must be getting quite a lot of business from him.
