Earlier this morning in a Budget Committee hearing, I asked what the impact the presidents tax on college savings plans would have on middle class families. For many wage earners, these 529 plans are an important part of saving for their kids college tuition. Every American has the right to continue their education without the federal government standing in the way. This afternoon, I was thrilled to learn that President Obama is abandoning such a disastrous policy. Keeping 529 college savings plans tax free is a huge win for the middle class! Lets continue to the fight and protect American families from the tax and spend policies of an ever growing national government!
