Earlier this week I posted a photo of a crew hired by Duke Energy to trim trees on the main thoroughfares around Snell Isle. I commented that I felt safer knowing the trees were trimmed before the worst of hurricane season set in -- even though they haphazardly butchered the trees in the process. You can see the crane shot from the other day, here, when they were on Brightwaters Boulevard NE. This morning, as I walked my dog, I happened to glance up at some of their craftsmanship on Appian Way and discovered they didnt even get the safety part of their job right. During yesterdays storm, the power fluctuated wildly and one block of neighbors wee without power for hours. Take a look at these photos, Mayor Rick Kriseman and City of St. Petersburg, Florida USA officials and tell me you dont think these subcontractors arent making hurricane prospects worse, not better.
