Earlier today, I had the privilege to speak to Young African Leaders at the Maryland state House in Annapolis, MD. This was an award ceremony in honor of young Africans that just completed a fellowship program under YALI( Young African Leaders Initiative). Yali is President Obama’s signature effort to invest in the next generation of African entrepreneurs, educators, activists and innovators. It was an honor for me to have been asked to speak before these great minds of Africa and share the work I do with young Guinean girls as well as give some advises to these young fellows are they return back to the Continent to hopefully continue to implement what they learned here. I was so excited to see one Guinean among the follows- Dr. Pierre Balamou. I will do my part to make sure more young Guineans come from Guinea to benefit from this program every year!!!!!
