It was originally purchased by Larry Ellison, the CEO of Oracle Corporation and one of the richest men in the world, and was later sold to David Geffen, an American movie mogul. It is the 6th largest super yacht in existence, with a length of almost 138 meters. It was built by the German firm Lürssen, at a reported cost of over $200m.
