Earlier today I saw a butterfly on the sidewalk. One of her wings were broken and she was just walking along, fighting the wind. I was worried she would be stepped on (however close to death she doesnt deserve that), so I reached out to pick her up and put her in the grass. She fluttered away to the best of her abilities and I thought maybe I shouldnt bother. I then crouched down one more time, put my hand in front of her the same way, but this time said, come on sweety, I just want to help you, promise. She then crawled into my hand and rested while I put her in the grass away from the path. If you deny that all things are connected through love and mutual suffering then you are really missing out. Reach out with love and empathy to those who can do nothing for you, see what happens.
