Earlier today Pam and I were fortunate to share over 120 miles - TopicsExpress

Earlier today Pam and I were fortunate to share over 120 miles with a group of people that included members from several R.C.s and M.C.s all riding together as friends, raising funds for less fortunate people so they might have a decent Thanksgiving meal. I believe I overheard one of the organizers saying that todays ride raised enough for 80 families to benefit. Our bonus was enjoying fellowship with people we normally wouldnt ride with or, even meet. Enjoying courteous cagers, staying away from us and allowing us to pass safely. Enjoying some PHENOMENAL foliage as we made our way over Middlebury Gap, north on 100, over Appalachian Gap. Enjoying a large group which held together pretty damned good and best of all... Everyone remained safe. When the ride ended, we were treated to a pig roast which also included grilled chicken, burgers, dogs, tater-to..... no, no tater tots but salads (hackkkkk) ;). I want to thank the Lost Dawgs R.C. for promoting this for the third year, Michael Longe and his Champlain Lanes for being gracious hosts to this ragtag bunch. I also want to thank the people who stopped in and added some coin of the realm to the coffers, you know who you are. I also want to thank whatever it is that watches over us because today I got to do something that for a period of time I wasnt sure would ever happen again, ride with my brother House over some gaps. There were a couple of times I would pull up alongside him and just giggle like a kid with a big ass bag of candy. Of course I would quickly put the badass biker scowl back on, image to maintain ya kno :D :D :D
