Early birds for PGH fly! Venus T. Oyao with Ate Ida, Maureen and Kuya Ric (driver of NAPC) We arrived Philippine General Hospital at Padre Faura St., Taft Avenue in Ermita, Manila for the Angiography procedure of Venus T. Oyao. She was led to the lab at 9:00 and after about 30 minutes, the procedure was done. The Angiogram costs 19,538.71 and we sourced it from the funds we raise through everyones kind heart and hands, listed accordingly as it comes to my hand/account: Maureen Ana Rea 1,000 Therese H. del Pilar 500 Jocelyn Miralles-Apag 1,000 Noemi Pimentel 100 Anselmo Miranda Garcia 500 Sec. Despite the exerted efforts: I honestly did a follow through calls and text, re-sending of documents through fax (twice) and through emails, and waited for what seemed to be endless queue at PCSO standing from the time I arrived at 9am to 1:46Pm without leaving where I was standing (even if I want to pee so I will not missed out when her name is called, no water even to quench thirst and tiredness) only to be told that her documents lacked 2-D-echo and her Medical Abstract should have letterhead. Her Dr. didnt advise 2-D-echo because its not heart problem but gluteal area (butt area and her heart is normal). As for letterhead, it was Sunday and her doc was not in her clinic but still made the medical abstract upon learning that the AVM was having cuts - out of immediate needs). What I thought was a day of Guarantee Letter release was draining: emotionally, physically, even financially- I was rushing taking taxi to catch for the time and to catch for work, only to be told insensitively, as if galit - to go back na lang) So what we are saving for the bigger procedure was deducted. We cannot wait too long as Venus is having fever and chilling every now and then. Telephoning and paying a visit at PGH happened yesterday and after learning the process, the costs and the needs, finally Ven was able to have her angiography this morning at 9AM. yeheeyyy Thanks God! The results will be ready in 2-days time. After that Doc will advised on what to do next. Her AVM is bleeding. and while we all sleep with all positions we could ever imagine doing, she cannot lie flat. There will be procedures to be done, initially is the series of embolizations which cost more or less 100K each session. Hers is perhaps 3 sessions. That is why we continue to appeal for your kindness and provision. You can send your help through my BPI account: Acoount Name: Maureen B.
